Do you have to be in shape to do Gyrotonic training ?

NO!  The Gyrotonic system is for everybody and every body type.  The Gyrotonic system will help you get into shape, promoting cardiovascular aerobic stimulation, without compression, strengthening ligaments while simultaneously stretching and strengthening the entire body.

What’s with the weird looking machine?

While the Gyrotonic equipment may look like medieval torture devices, the equipment is actually quite fun to work on, guiding your body to execute natural, and turbulence free motion.

What is the difference between Pilates and Gyrotonic exercise?

Pilates works in a more linear motion, energy in a line must eventually give out. The Gyrotonic Training System works in a circular motion, when energy moves in a circle it is forever continuous and self-renewing. The Gyrotonic system has a significant emphasis on increasing the functional capacity of the spine, and focuses on joint articulation, building coordination, strength and flexibility.

What age groups can do Gyrotonic exercise ?

We will work with every age group, anywhere from 15 to 105!

How often should I do Gyrotonic training?

How often you do the Gyrotonic method of exercise depends on you and how far you want to take your body, and how fast.  Most clients feel best when they come for a session once or twice a week, while others prefer coming 3-4 times a week to achieve and maintain maximum results. It’s entirely up to you and your comfort level!

Why should I supplement my workout with Gyrotonic exercise?

Unlike the movements of most conventional exercises, where linear or isolated movements are performed, in the Gyrotonic method major muscle groups are worked together, focusing on coordination and stamina.
